The Bajilo Wine Cellar is famous family winery of Sremski Karlovci located in the cellars dating from 1864 in the very center of the beautiful Baroque historical core of Sremski Karlovci. The Bajilo Family features origins from the Dalmatia, from where it settled in Sremski Karlovci in 1966 and transferred here the rich viticulture traditions and wine production. Nowadays the Bajilo Wine House in Sremski Karlovci is run and further developed by the third and the fourth generation of the family, led by Predrag Bajilo, his sons Petar and Steva and the daughter-in-law Rada. The Bajilo Family is one of the largest vine growers and wine producers in Sremski Karlovci. They produce wines from the own vineyards of various grape varieties, of which 65% have been created at the Institute of Fruits and Viticulture in Sremski Karlovci. Bajilo Family Vineyards cover the surface of 25 hectares and are located on the nearby gentle sunny slopes of the Fruska Gora Mountain-National Park.

The Bajilo Wine Cellar in Sremski Karlovci is 50 meters long and features constant natural temperature of 11 C in all weather conditions and seasons, since its final part is dig 30 meters underground. The Bajilo wine cellar in Sremski Karlovci is real architectural gem and masterpiece in whose creation and construction lots of love, funding, time, efforts, dedication and patience was put. Thanks to its perfect location in the very historical center of Sremski Karlovci, and nicely and uniquely appointed space where natural materials prevail, and the high quality wines and catering of various delicious food which is fully in harmony with wines, served in the wine-tasting restaurant hall with 55 seats, the Bajilo Wine cellar provides visitors memorable and true experiences of Sremski Karlovci and Fruska Gora Mountain.

In the vineyards of the Bajilo Family are grown numerous local and international grape varieties, of which some 50000 liters of wine is produced per year. The Italian Riesling clon 54, selected at the Institute of Fruits and Viticulture distinguishes itself. The Rhine Riesling is another grape variety which is significant for the wine production of Sremski Karlovci and results in excellent wines. As something new and more attractive for wine lovers and wine consumers, there is the original grape variety of Sila, also created at the Institute of Fruits and Viticulture in Sremski Karlovci, by combination of Kevedinka variety /Rose/ and Chardonnay. Trend of local variety growing is further developed by the Bajilo Family in planting the new vineyards of the muscat varieties of Neoplanta and Petra, with the aim to establish production of the dessert wine for aromatic varieties lovers. Here are also present the very famous red local variety of Portugueser and Rose, the high quality red wines, renown by its long tradition and exquisite flavors, as well as the varieties of Vranac and Cabernet Sauvignon. The future plans for wine production of the Bajilo Family of Sremski Karlovci include also the red variety of Probus, which already brings good results. Here are produced famous White and Red Bermet Wines that make the recognizable symbols of Sremski Karlovci and the Fruska Gora area. This diligent family works hard in the vineyards throughout the year and successfully runs their popular wine cellar in Sremski Karlovci welcoming numerous wine lovers and visitors, but also traditionally takes part in all the important wine and tourism fairs of Serbia, prized with dozens of medals, cups, recognition and awards for quality of wines and rakijas-brandies.

At the Bajilo Wine cellar in Sremski Karlovci all wines can be tasted and bought. Wine tasting usually includes 3-4 sorts of wines, which come along with cheese rolls, delicacies and cheese.
