Day 1. Novi Sad/Belgrade – Ljubljana
Departure from Novi Sad/Belgrade around 11,00, drive along highway through Croatia to Ljubljana, break for relax. Sightseeing of Ljubljana with local guide – walk by the impressive Tivoli Hall which in 1970 hosted the Basketball Competition when the legendary Yugoslav basketball team won the World Championship. Short walk through the Tivoli Park leads us to the main Orthodox church of this part of Ljubljana – SS Cyril and Methodius. The Ljubljana tour further includes the National Gallery, the Opera to the Republic Square where the Slovenian Parliament is located. Continuation of the walking tour by the Congress center next to the University and the impressive National University Library which was designed by the famous architect Joze Plecnik. From there we continue to the Monument of the perish Hribar and along the Carpenter’s Bridge we reach the oldest and historical core of the town. On the City Square we will see the City Hall and the Robb’s Fountain, we will refresh with finest chocolate and continue to the famous Tromostovje area with the Monument to the most significant Slovenian poet France Presern. At the end of the city tour we will cross the Butcher’s Bridge and reach the Ljubljana market and the Cathedral of Saint Nicholas. Accommodation in the M Hotel in Ljubljana, comfortable 4 stars facility in Ljubljana – double/twin rooms. Buffet dinner, optional clubbing program – introduction into night life of Ljubljana.
Day 2. Ljubljana – Gorenjska Gorge – Vogel – Bled – Sava Bohinjka Rafting – Ljubljana
After breakfast departure to the gorgeous Gorenjka Gorge, first through the Bohinj tourist center to the Vogel peak, 1535 meters from where spreads magic panorama of the Julian Alps. Gondola ride to Vogel and return ride to the Gorge, short drive to Bled – the pearl of the Slovenian tourism. Light lunch in the restaurant followed with famous krempita in the former Villa of King Aleksandar Karadjordjevic while enjoying majestic view to the Bled Lake with the tiny island. Option for visit to the historical old town and the Printing Shop or boat ride to the Bled Island.
Transfer to the starting point of the Sava Bohinjka Rafting, meeting with rafters, division into groups and instructions for behavior on the wild waters, taking on safety equipment – helmets, neoprene suits, safe belts and shoes. Exciting rafting for some 1,5 hours along the Sava Bohinjka River while enjoying wonderful nature and experiences that long remain in memories of participants. Return to the M Hotel in Ljubljana, buffet dinner and overnight.
Day 3. Ljubljana – Castles Gorge – Krka River – Belgrade/Novi Sad
After breakfast check out from the M Hotel Ljubljana, drive to the picturesque Krka Valley known for numerous medieval castles as the ‘Slovenian Loire’. Break for tour of the Žužemberg Castle, drive on to the medieval castle of Podreda, tasting of 6 wine varieties, sliced smoked delicacies and cheese in authentic wine cellar. Drive back home, late afternoon – evening arrival to Belgrade/Novi Sad, end of program and services.
