The aim of the Educational center and the agriculture estate of the Tamiski konaci – Stari Tamis in Pancevo is to provide children learn on agriculture, come along and close to the nature and meet the chain of organic and health food production. Workshops are run by experienced workers. The education on the Stari Tamis estate is best for the preschool children and pupils from the first to the fourth grade of the primary school, but it is also recommended and available to students for their practice on the farm, as well as to students of the Secondary school of Agriculture. Here children have opportunity to plant vegetables, make food for animals from wheat, to learn on daily work on a farm, talk to a veterinarian, cattle breeders, horse breeders and to learn how a modern farm functions today. The famous agriculture estate of Stari Tamiš possessed the own horse breeding farm until 1978 when it declined and 80 thoroughbred horses – trotters and gallopers were sold to the Ada horse breeding farm. Today the Horse breeding farm of „Tamiš“is located on the estate of Stari Tamiš Company which since 2009 belongs to the system of the agriculture estate of the Almex Company. In 2011 the rich tradition of horse breeding on the Stari Tamis agriculture estate was recovered, so today there are more than 20 Lipizzaner horses and 5 stud horses – origin of Đakovo, Lipik, Karađorđevo, 12 brood mares – Đakovo, Kelebija, Prnjavor) and 3 baby horses. Each of those thoroughbred horses is true example of its bloodstock with recognized origin and those healthy stud horses are awarded with dozens of prizes in various horse competitions and exhibitions. The locally grown own home food produced on the Almex estate is used for horse food. Here Lipizzaner horses eat fresh grass, hay and mixture of concentrated grounded cereals. Age and gender of horses determine its daily agenda. Brood mares and baby horses are the whole day free, eating in outer space, while four horses train every day with the other horses remain in breeding. The breeding process is operated in natural way on the Horse breeding farm of Stari Tamis. The Stari Tamis Horse breeding farm is open for visitors and every day carriage ride is organized, so that attracted children can observe horses, while for those more courageous visitors – a small horseback riding course is organized.

The accommodation facility of the “Tamiški konaci” boasts of 60 beds in 8 multi-bed rooms and 14 beds in 7 apartments. Besides the modern classroom equipped with PC, projector, visitors may use a kitchen for food preparation and serving, summer dining room with a terrace which accommodates 120 children, a children playground, guarded courtyard and garden for planting vegetables, free WiFi in all public spaces. The Tamiski konaci – Tamis Residences accommodation facility is located on the estate of the modern farm with some 2500 cows, but also other domestic animals – mangulitza pigs, sheep, goats, poultry, rabbits, ostriches…. Here is the horse breeding farm with thoroughbred horses of Lipizzaner stock breed. The small ZOO includes small animals, birds, rabbits, appointed children playground, sport terrains in close proximity, as well as a small lake – make this complex fully attractive with plentiful options for various activities.
