Day 1      Sarajevo arrival – Mostar

Arrival to Sarajevo, welcome by professional guide and transfer to Mostar for check in 4 stars centrally located hotel. Welcome dinner and overnight.

Day 2      Mostar – Blagaj – Sarajevo

After breakfast Mostar tour with emphasis on the Ottoman heritage: the famous Old Bridge over Neretva River, the Mehmed Koski Mosque, the old crafts quarter… Continue to Blagaj and visit to the wonderful Tekke in the unique environment of the Buna River source. Accommodation in 4 stars centrally located Sarajevo hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 3      Sarajevo

After breakfast half-day Sarajevo sightseeing: the Gazi Husref Bey Mosque and Medresse, the amazing Bascarsija Oriental quarter with numerous old crafts workshops… Overnight in Sarajevo hotel.

Day 4      Sarajevo – Travnik – Sarajevo

After breakfast full day tour to Travnik – the Medieval capital of Bosnia and sightseeing: the Suleymani colorful Mosque, Elchi Ibrahim Pasha Medresse, and Birth House of Ivo Andrić – the Nobel Prize Winner for Literature in 1961. Return to Sarajevo, dinner and overnight.

Day 5      Sarajevo – Foca – Visegrad – Zlatibor

After breakfast departure direction Serbia. Break for visit to the newly reconstructed Aladza mosque, a historic Ottoman-era building from the 16th century. Continue to Visegrad and tour of the famous Old Bridge over the Drina River which inspired Ivo Andric for his famous Nobel Prize Novel. Accommodation and dinner in 4 stars Zlatibor hotel.

Day 6      Zlatibor – Belgrade

After breakfast drive to Belgrade, accommodation in 4 stars centrally located Belgrade hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7      Belgrade

After breakfast half-day Belgrade tour with sightseeing of the most significant Ottoman heritage: the Kalemegdan fortress, with turbes of Sheik Mustafa pasha and Damad Ali pasha and the Fountain of the famous Ottoman Vizier Medmed Pasha Sokolovic. Afternoon cruising along Belgrade Rivers, while enjoying magic panorama of the city. Overnight.

Day 8      Belgrade – Nis

After breakfast drive to Nis and 4 stars hotel accommodation. Tour of the Nis fortress, including the Bali Bey Mosque and turbe. Tour of the Cele kula – the Scull Tower – notorious monument built of human heads /victims of the Turkish atrocities/ which commemorates the bloody outcome of the Battle of Cegar in 1809 after the Serbian riots against the Sultan’s rule in fight for freedom. Traditional dinner and overnight.

Day 9      Nis – Pristina – Prizren

After breakfast drive to Pristina and tour of the so called ‘Imperial mosque’, built on the orders of Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror around 1461, and although it was turned into a Catholic church during the Austro-Hungarian era and renovated again after WWII. Today it is the city’s most important mosque. The Sultan Mehmed Mosque features striking painted ceilings. Visit to the Ethnographic Museum which displays numerous historical and ethnographic artifacts. Visit to the Gazimestan Monument of the Kosovo Battle, including tour of the symbolic grave of Sultan Murad I on the historical battlefield between the Ottoman and Serbian armies in 1389. Continue to Prizren and walk along the historical core of the city with tour of the Stone Bridge, the Kalaja Fortress, Sinan Pasha Mosque built in 1615 by Sofi Sinan Pasha, the bey of Budim. Accommodation and dinner in 4 stars centrally located hotel, overnight.

Day 10    Prizren – Skopje

After breakfast tour of the Orthodox Holy Virgin of Ljevish Cathedral – UNESCO site dating from the 6th century, rebuilt in the 12th century, turned into the mosque during the Ottoman rule and renovated again in 1912 into the Orthodox Church. Drive to Skopje and visit to the impressive Ottoman heritage: Sultan Murad Mosque with Clock Tower, Ishak Bey Mosque /the Aladza mosque/, the Gazzi Issa Bey Mosque – the memorial constructed after death of its founder Issa Bey, 1475/76., the Mustapha Pasha Mosque from 1492, the Bezistan, the Cifte Hammam, the Kapan Han from the 15th century, Kurshumli Han, Daut Pasha Hammam, the Stone Bridge, the Kale Fortress, the Old Bazaar… Accommodation and dinner in 4 stars Skopje hotel.

Day 11    Skopje – Ohrid

After breakfast drive to Ohrid with break for tour of the the Sarena dzamija – the Painted Mosque in Tetovo. Ohrid sightseeing: Samuil’s Fortress, the City Museum in the wonderful Robevci House – a real architectural masterpiece from the 19th century, Sinan Celebi turbe, Ali Pasha Mosque in the Old Bazaar of Ohrid. Zeynel Abedin Pasha Tekke, which belongs to the Halveti dervish order… Visit to the Ohrid Pearl workshop and presentation of well-preserved techniques of pearl manufacture by usage of the scales of the endemic Ohrid Lake Plasica fish which makes them the unique in the world. Accommodation in 4 stars Ohrid area hotel, traditional dinner, overnight.

Day 12    Ohrid – Bitola – Stobi – Veles

After breakfast drive to Bitola, known as “the City of Consuls” on account of the 12 diplomatic relationships with the Ottoman Porte whose consuls resided here from the time of the Berlin Congress of 1878 to 1913. Tour of the beautiful historical core: Shirok sokak street, bazaar-market, Isak Chelebi Mosque, the Ieni Mosque/present day Art Gallery/, Prison-tower… Tasting of delicious Turkish delight ‘lokum’. Accommodation in 4 stars Veles hotel, rich farewell dinner with music-folklore performance.

Day 13    Skopje departure

After breakfast transfer to Skopje airport and departure flight, end of program and services.
