Day 1 Arrival to Belgrade and transfer by luxurious coach to Kosjeric village which lies on the slopes of Povlen Mountain /1000 meters/ famous for beautiful nature and the relief that is greatly divided by the valleys and waterways and rural households that for several decades provide excellent tourist services. Accommodation in rural household and traditional dinner, overnight.
Day 2 After breakfast half-day 9 km walking tour through lush pine forest up to the Skakavac waterfall. Traditional lunch. Afternoon departure to Zlatar Mountain. Zlatar mountain (highest peak Golo Brdo 1627 m) is located between Lim, Mileševka and Bistrica rivers at the edge of wild Pester Plateau, in south-western Serbia. All characteristics of Zlatar mountain perform its name/golden mountain/ : flowering meadows, crystal lakes surrounded by pine and birch forests, the harmony of Mediterranean and mountain climate, numerous sunny days /over 2000 sunny hours/, fresh mountain air rich in turpentine and ozone, spectacular endless views… Accommodation in rural households. Traditional dinner, overnight.
Day 3 After breakfast intense 16 km walk along the invigorating pine forests of gorgeous Zlatar Mountain. Outdoor lunch. Afternoon departure to Kamena Gora hamlet close to the border with Montenegro. Air Health resort Kamena Gora (Stone Mountain) is considered to be the most beautiful village in Prijepolje Municipality thanks to its astonishing tranquility, fragrant meadows, beautiful pine woods and plenty of fresh mountain springs. Kamena Gora is raised above towns of Prijepolje, Pljevlja and Bijelo Polje at the altitude of more than 1400 meters, from where the magnificent view to Durmitor, Jadovnik, Zlatar, Golija and Zlatibor Mountains spreads. Kamena Gora village is famous for its symbol – the centuries-old “Svetibor” pine dominating the region and collecting many secrets and traditional tales of longevity inhabitants for centuries. Accommodation in rural households, traditional dinner, overnight.
Day 4 After breakfast 12 km walk up to the summit of Ravna Gora through dense pine forests and to the “Svetibor” pine. Outdoor lunch while enjoying breathtaking panoramas. Visit to Mileseva Monastery in Prijepolje from the 13th century famous for wonderful White Angel fresco. Afternoon departure to Vodice village in the Zlatibor Mountain area. Zlatibor mountain, the mountain of golden pines, with highest peak Tornik (1496 m) is situated in north-western part of Serbia, 200 km away from Belgrade. Beautiful landscapes of Tornik and Murtenica and Cigota Mountains are visible from this gorgeous place recognizable for clear mountain breeze. Opinion is that Zlatibor Mountain /golden-pine/ is named after golden pastures and pines surrounding the area. Accommodation in vacation complex, traditional dinner, overnight.
Day 5 After breakfast intense 12 km walk from Borova Glava to Tornik summit. Traditional lunch. Transfer to Kadinjaca historical memorial from the II WW and 21 km intense walk to Tara Mountain. Tara Mountain is one of the most beautiful mountains in Serbia. It features preserved never ending pine woods and fascinating vast grass areas at the altitude of 1000 – 1200 m above sea level with over 1000 species of medicinal herbs and forest fruits. Tara Mountain is covered with dense woods with clearings and meadows, rocky cliffs, gorges and caves. Tara Mountain is the home for over 153 bird species and diverse flora. Pancic’s Spruce is a unique specie found only on Tara Mountain. Varied landscape and preserved vegetation have enabled survival to many animal species such as brown bear, chamois, grouse, golden eagle etc. Transfer to the village of Rozanstvo and accommodation in rural households. Traditional dinner, overnight.
Day 6 After breakfast visit to the Open Air Museum of “Staro Selo Sirogojno” presenting traditional architecture and way of life of Zlatibor region from the 19th century. Intense 24 km walk from Sirogojno to Zlakusa village passing by beautiful landscape of West Serbia. Accommodation in rural households in Zlakusa and Potpece villages. Traditional dinner, overnight.
Day 7 After breakfast walk to the Potpećka Pecina Cave which lies on the northern part of the 932 m high Mount of Dreznička Gradina near the village of Potpece, in a cliff which is more than 80m high. The entrance of Potpecka Pecina Cave is one of the hugest in Serbia shaped like a huge horseshoe, 50m high, 25m wide in the arch and 16m wide at the base. It is one of the best tourist attraction in the western part of Serbia. Potpećka Pecina Cave is a resurgence which is formed on three levels. One enters through an old fossil entrance on the left and exits through an entrance on the right, 30m and 700 steps further up. After the entrance at Siljate Stene, one enters Tavan, a large chamber with a Byzantine style cupola. The chamber is lit by daylight, and has an unforgettable view. The outline of the entrance looks like an Elephant with the Strazar Tower, and these are found on the cave’s logo. From Tavan one passes through the tunnel of Glavni Hodnik, to enter Prolaz Nade, a chamber, where during the past 10 years, cavers have discovered more than 2185 m of passage. Though this chamber one comes to Niska Dvorana, where the remains of ice age fauna have been found. Another passage, Minerski Prolaz leads to Galerija Mladih Istrazivaca or the Hall of the Young Explorers. Next is Cvijiceva Dvorana, named after Jovan Cvijic, the famous Yugoslavian speleologist. Outdoor lunch. Afternoon walk to the Canyon of Derventa River. Evening departure for Belgrade. Hotel accommodation. Dinner, overnight.
Day 8 After breakfast time at leisure until transfer to Belgrade Airport. Departure flight and end of program.
