Day 1 Arrival to Belgrade Airport, transfer to centrally located Belgrade hotel and check in. Introductory panoramic sightseeing tour of Belgrade. Belgrade walking tour with welcome drink at the Rakija Bar. Overnight.
Day 2 After breakfast drive along the beautiful gentle slopes of Shumadija – Central Serbia direction Gornji Milanovac. Break for refreshment and tasting of delicious homemade cherry rakija at the rural tourist household in tiny Grabovica village, in the heart of untouched nature. Continue to Guca “the Trumpet Metropolis” and break for big traditional lunch in the famous Kafana Daco, accompanied with brass orchestra performance of one of the Guca Brass Festival winners. Tasting of finest rakijas – brandies. Continue direction Golija Mountain and accommodation in the Golijski konaci rural tourist vacation complex in picturesque Komatine village. Cordial welcome by hosts serving delicious homemade rakija and slatko. Traditional dinner, overnight.
Day 3 After breakfast drive along the Golija-Studenica Biosphere Reserve to Studenica Medieval complex. Break for sightseeing of the Studenica Monastery churches, UNESCO site which feature wonderful Medieval frescoes. Continue along the Ibar River Valley, known as the Kings Valley for numerous Medieval churches and Monasteries founded by Serbian kings. Cordial welcome by wonderful locals who run the traditional settlement of Bogut in the tiny Koricanci village, surrounded with breathtaking forests of Troglav and Cemerno Mountains. Traditional lunch with interactive culinary course /preparing homemade bread and gibanitza in traditional way/ along with tasting of the finest Gegula rakijas and authentic products – kaymak, cheese, ayvar, and folklore performance. Continue on to the picturesque Mala Vrbica village near Kragujevac and accommodation at the Kuca Colovica reputed rural tourist household which provides tourist services, whose ancestors exported large quantities of rakija to the Austria-Hungarian Empire before the WWI. Big traditional dinner with folklore entertainment /kolo dance/, overnight.
Day 4 After breakfast presentation of authentic way of rakija production, with brunch, interactive workshop and tasting. Drive on to Belgrade and hotel accommodation. Farewell rakija party. Overnight.
Day 5 After breakfast free time until transfer to Belgrade Airport, departure flight and end of program and services.
