Day 1 Belgrade hotel accommodation. City Tour : Kalemegdan Fortress, The Republic Square, St.Sava Orthodox Cathedral … Possible visit to the Ethnographic Museum, housing great folklore costumes collections and other traditional exhibitions. Afternoon time at leisure. Dinner with tamburitza music in famous bohemian quarter Skadarlija. Overnight.
Day 2 After breakfast, drive to Novi Sad and City tour : City Hall, boulevards, churches, pedestrian zone, Petrovaradin Fortress known as the Gibraltar on the Danube. Drive on to Sremski Karlovci and tour of this picturesque cultural and spiritual center of Serbs : Patriarchate Court, Four Lions Fountain, the first Serbian Gymnasium, St. Nikola’s Orthodox Church. Visit to the Honey Museum and delicious wine tasting in traditional cellar. Traditional lunch at Perko’s Farm in Neradin village. Drive on along beautiful slopes of Fruska Gora Mountain to Grgeteg Monastery, built in 15th century. Afternoon return to Belgrade, free evening. Overnight.
Day 3 After breakfast drive along the Danube to Viminacium, fascinating archaeological site presenting the former Roman military settlement and camp spreading on the vast surface of 420 hectares rich in monumental temples, wide streets, luxurious villas, extensive baths, an amphitheatre… Sightseeing followed by lunch of genuine ancient Roman specialties. Drive on to Golubac Fortress, one of the best preserved fortifications on the Danube, short brake for photo-shooting. Visit to Lepenski Vir Mesolithic archaeological highlight dating back 10000 years ago situated in untouched stunning nature of Djerdap National Park. Accommodation in Donji Milanovac traditional guest-houses with facilities. Traditional dinner in restaurant by fire-place settled in intact nature. Overnight.
Day 4 After breakfast drive to Rajkova Pecina Cave. Sightseeing. Drive on to Crnajka village. Big traditional lunch with folklore performance. Drive through gorgeous Iron Gate comprising three gorges, two remarkable canyons featuring breathtaking views and three large valleys to Kladovo. Visit to the Archaeological Museum In Kladovo. Hotel accommodation. Evening boat ride, dinner on the boat accompanied by music entertainment. Overnight.
Day 5 After breakfast full-day tour to nearby Mountain summits within the Djerdap National Park – nature exploration, walks through thick forests and fragrant meadows, bird-watching… Picnic lunch. Afternoon drive to Rajacke Pimnice – Rajac Wineries near Negotin, unique cultural sight dedicated to the glory of wine and monumental complex of over 270 stone houses built more than 200 years ago as a complete Mother-nature concept Foundation so to grow and preserve natural wines with most precious care and love of local Rajac people. Tasting of delicious wines in traditional cellars followed by home-made dinner. Overnight in traditional guest-houses with facilities.
Day 6 After breakfast drive to Gamzigrad, where the former Roman city Felix Romuliana is located. Visit to the precious mosaics in Emperor’s Palace and nearby Magura Hill, the burial place of Roman Emperor Galerius and his mother Romula. Drive to Zajecar and visit to the Zajecar National Museum. Presentation of hand-made pottery. Traditional lunch. Drive to Nis. Hotel accommodation. Dinner in traditional restaurant. Overnight.
Day 7 After breakfast sity tour of Nis. Drive to Belgrade by highway with short brakes for refreshment. Afternoon arrival and hotel accommodation. Dinner, overnight. End of program.
Day 8 After breakfast free time at leasure. Transfer to Belgrade Airport and departure flight. End of program
