Backa Wedding Ceremony

Day 1

Afternoon drive from Belgrade along hihgway to “Salas 137” in Cenej Village, the most romantic and most famous salash-farm in Vojvodina. Traditional Serbian welcome with home made bread, salt and brandy. Accommodation. Preparation for the fellowship party and girls evening followed by traditional dinner and tamburitza music. Overnight.

Day 2

Late breakfast and departure to Bački Petrovac, the center of Slovaks in Vojvodina. Cordial welcome in the Ahoj Gallery and preparations for the authentic Slovak Wedding Ceremony. The guest, dressed in traditional costumes actively participate in the presentation of the well-preserved Slovak customs and the Slovak Wedding Ceremony, together with and as a bride, groom, godmother, godfather, groomsman and other guests. After the official program of the Slovakian Wedding, when just married couple collects wedding presents, big traditional lunch /kulen – delicious Slovak hot sausages, sarma – cabbage rolls, poppy-seed pie, Wedding Cake, authentic home made wine…/ Music entertainment followed by folk dances of the exciting local ensemble and tamburiza music. Departure to Belgrade and end of program.
