Stolovo Ethno Tourist Settlement Paracin
The Stolovo Traditional Settlement is authentic tourist-catering complex in the Morava River valley, between towns of Ćuprija and Paraćin, on the Corridor 10, some 150 km south of Belgrade and 80 km north of Niš. Approach to the Stolovo Traditional Settlement is possible directly from the highway from direction Belgrade Nis, as well as from the regular road connecting Paraćin and Ćuprija, with free parking option.
The aim and focus of the owners of the Stolovo Traditional Settlement is to preserve customs and traditions and provide transit guests, foreign tourists and local visitors the possibility the different tourist offer than usual, and services that combine well preserved customs and comfort of the modern era.
The Stolovo Traditional Settlement near Paracin covers the surface of 2,5 hectares and features rich greenery and replicas of the Serbian houses – traditional structures on some 5000 sq meters, constructed from original materials – mostly stone, wood and brick. The stream arriving from the Karadjordje hill passes through the center of the Stolovo Traditional Settlement and divides it into 2 parts.
The left part of the Stolovo Traditional Settlement has comfortable accommodation units in 3 wooden houses and few separate houses built in the Moraval style of architecture, as well as the hotel structures which provide accommodation in double and triple rooms and 11 apartments, equipped with air conditioning, comfortable amenities including bathrooms with shower. Total accommodation capacity of the Stolovo Traditional Settlement near Paracin is suitable for some 50 guests.
In the middle of the Stolovo Traditional Settlement near Paracin is nicely appointed lake for swimming, with a wooden bridge and traditional structures – water mills from the Velika Morava River, Tunnel of Love, Wish well and artificial hill with the belfry and a tiny village church.
In the right part of the Stolovo Traditional Settlement near Paracin is located the Rajac Winery – the wine cellar structure which was originally collected from the Rajac village near Negotin in East Serbia. Besides the Rajac wine cellar, this part of the Stolovo Traditional Settlement near Paracin includes the village blacksmiths workshop, the pottery and glass-manufacture and beer workshops. Next to the water mill is the village restaurant – kafana with some 70 seats, set in the 2 floors building with terraces – docsates. The restaurant of the Stolovo Traditional Settlement near Paracin serves guests exclusively with delicious traditional food prepared from fresh and locally grown ingredients – the authentic starters, various soups, grilled meat – rostilj, Cabbage casserole, dishes prepared in-under the pot, roasted piglet and lamb, beans, homemade bread…. Next to the Stolovo restaurant there is a separate structure which contains 2 built-in bakeries, 2 fire places, a Smoke House and a Roast – barbecue room. This part of the Stolovo Traditional Settlement near Paracin features a large grassy yard with a summer garden bar, a fountain, a summer stage and part dedicated to games and entertainment of the youngest guests. There is a wooden log transferred to Stolovo from the Staro selo near Velika Plana where the exhibition of the old village items is in preparation.
