Day 1    Belgrade Airport arrival – Novi Sad

Arrival to Belgrade airport and welcome by Panacomp professional English-speaking guide. Transfer by comfortable high-tourist class minibus /1 hr/ to Novi Sad and sightseeing tour of the historical core of the town. Accommodation in centrally located Novi Sad hotel /Fontana Hotel or City Hotel Veliki or similar available/. Welcome dinner with live tambouritza music in the restaurant on the Danube river shore.

Day 2    Novi Sad – Sremski Karlovci – Jagodina

After breakfast visit to the underground tunnels of the Novi Sad City Museum. Continue to Sremski Karlovci and short sightseeing tour of the beautiful Baroque center : the Patriarchal Residence, the Saint Nicholas Orthodox Church, the Gymnasium, the Four Lions fountain….  Rustic organic lunch at the Perko’s traditional farm house in Fruska Gora Mt/National Park and visit to the small ethnographic collection of agricultural tools and old artifacts. Drive along highway to Jagodina and hotel accommodation – the Hill Hotel.  Evening free at leisure for individual program or the wellness or pleasant walk through the beautiful park….

Day 3    Ravanica Monastery – Felix Romuliana site – Stara Planina Mt

After breakfast visit the Ravanica Monastery, one of the most prominent and the most beautiful Medieval Monasteries of Serbia, endowment of the Prince Lazar, killed in the Kosovo Battle in 1389. Drive on to Zajecar and tour of the Felix Romuliana – the Palace of Emperor Galerius UNESCO site. Continue to the tiny village of Balta Berilovac at the foot of the Stara Planina Mt and cordial welcome by hosts serving homemade slatko-rakija and accommodation in the Babin zub Villa. Short culinary course – preparation of homemade gibanitza /cheese pie/ or the proja /corn bread/, under supervision of the skilled and friendly hosts /winners of the rural culinary competition of Serbia/. Big traditional dinner, overnight.

Day 4    Stara Planina Mt hike – Pirot

After breakfast half-day tour – hike along the slopes of the Stara Planina Mt – Babin zub peak /1775 m/ while enjoying magnificent landscape and short lecture by local expert on medicinal herbs used in kitchen as the meal ingredients. Transfer to Pirot and accommodation at the Nisavska dolina tourist complex. Visit to the Ponisavlje Museum and the producer of the famous peglana kobasica /pressed sausage/ and tasting. Big traditional dinner which best describes the rich culinary flavors of Pirot area /meze/….

Day 5   Pirot – Poganovo Monatery – Temska Monastery

After breakfast full day excursion to SE Serbia – rug /cilim/ workshop visit with presentation of this well-preserved technique of hand-weaving, the Saint John the Theologian Monastery in the breathtaking Jerma River Gorge, and the Saint George Temska Monastery.  Overnight at the Nisavska dolina tourist complex in Pirot.

Day 6    Cele Kula site Nis – Nikolic Winery – Vrnjacka Banja Spa

After breakfast departure to Nis. Sightseeing walking tour of the Nis Fortress and the Cele kula monument. Big traditional lunch with wine tasting in the Nikolic Winery in Aleksandrovac /with folklore performance and traditional Serbian kolo dancing/. Accommodation in the Otava Lux apartments in Vrnjacka Banja Spa. Free evening for wellness or pleasant walk along the spa park.

Day 7   Kalenic Monastery – Ljubostinja Monastery – Vrnjacka Banja Spa

After breakfast half day excursion to the Kalenic and Ljubostinja Monasteries. Return to Vrnjacka Banja Spa apartments, big traditional dinner, overnight.

Day 8    Studenica Monastery – Ivanjica – Zlatibor Mt

After breakfast drive to Studenica Monastery /UNESCO site/ and sightseeing of the Medieval complex. Continue to Zlatibor Mt /the most popular mountainous tourist center of Serbia/ with break for big traditional lunch in the Ivanjicki Konaci rural complex. Accommodation in the Idila Spa Hotel or similar available hotel in Zlatibor area. Free evening, overnight.

Day 9    Sargan Train – Mecavnik – Sigorojno -Stopica Pecina Cave

After breakfast full day excursion – transfer to Mokra Gora and Sargan train ride /2,5 hours of train ride along gorgeous scenery of SW Serbia/. Break for visit to the Mecavnik Wooden Town – Film Academy and traditional resort established by famous Film Director Emir Kusturica. Continue to the Staro Selo Sirogojno and visit to the Open air museum which represents the well-preserved lifestyle and customs of the Dinaric people of the 19th century. Short fashion show of the Sirogojno Style hand-knitted woolen products /jackets, cardigans, caps, gloves…/ Refreshment – tasting of best dried forest fruits – wild strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries… /all exported to EU and the world/. On the way back to Zlatibor Mt optional visit to the Stopica Pecina Cave, one of the most beautiful caves in Serbia. Big traditional dinner, overnight.

Day 10  Uvac Special Natural Reserve – Zlatar Mt

After breakfast full day excursion to to Uvac Special Nature Reserve and the gorgeous Zlatar Mountain. Boat ride along the Uvac Lake while observing the nests of the griffin vultures predator birds. Visit to the producer of the famous authentic Zlatar cheese and presentation of preparation of the healthy buckwheat pie, performed by the skilled hosts, followed with tasting. Return to Zlatibor, free evening, overnight.

Day 11  Terzica avlija Ethno Park – Belgrade

After breakfast departure to Belgrade. Break for visit to the Terzica Avlija Ethno Park in Zlakusa village with presentation of pottery manufacture /participation of clients if wanted/ and presentation of production of colorful traditional costumes under special old techniques. Homemade brunch. Accommodation in centrally located Belgrade hotel /Mercure Excelsior or Holiday Inn Express or the Lazar Lux apartments or similar available/. Big traditional dinner with tasting of smoked delicacies and homemade wine. Overnight.

Day 12  Belgrade

After breakfast half-day Belgrade city tour : the Parliament, Saint Sava Orthodox Cathedral /the second largest Orthodox church in the world/, Republic Square, Kalemegdan fortress from where spreads magnificent panorama of the confluence of the Sava and the Danube Rivers. Short time for individual program. Farewell dinner with live music in the Skadarlija bohemian quarter restaurant. Overnight.

Day 13  Belgrade – departure

After breakfast free time until transfer to Belgrade airport for departure flight, end of program and services.
