ORIENTEERING TEAM BUILDING Strazilovo – Fruska Gora Mt

Activities:

Day 1. Saturday

Morning positioning of high tourist class AC bus in Belgrade. Drive to the popular excursion spot of Strazilovo near Sremski Karlovci in Fruska Gora National Park. Welcome of professional sport instructors of orienteering – members of the Orienteering Association of Serbia, instructions on rules of ORIENTEERING IN NATURE in duration of some 2 – 3 hours /including preparations/. Division in groups.

Orienteering is Cross Race in which participants use detailed map and compass in order to find way to the control points in unknown terrain with obstacles, across hills, through forests and streams…. Groups are divided into groups of 3 participants who have compasses, maps and chips. This activity includes introductory education of participants with short lecture on orienteering. After short education, participants go along the trail using map and compass. On this trail participants need to find control points, by their previous education, but also their mental awareness and skills. By using chips, participants of ORIENTEERING mark their arrival to the checking points. Unique performer or station for recognition of arrival to the check points prove that participants have found control points. The quickest team which arrives to all control points is the winner, although the winner should not be particularly highlighted in such activities. The orienteering trail is some 3,5 – 4 km long and includes 10 control points, with duration of CROSS RACE ORIENTEERING of some 150 minutes.

After orienteering is finished and the winner team announced, mountainous style – outdoor lunch /grilled meat, salad, dessert or kettle with homemade noodles, salad, dessert/. Afternoon return to the starting place, end of program and services.

Note : this program can be extended with overnight stay with dinner in Sremski Karlovci hotels with spa/wellness amenities – the Premier Prezident Hotel or the Prezident Villa. In this case the following services and activities are planned and included:

Day 2 – Sunday

After breakfast check out from hotel. Transfer to the port in Sremski Karlovci and embarkation on the katamaran boat for boat ride to the island in the Danube River, duration of some 30-45 minutes through the Kovilj-Petrovaradin Marshes Special Nature Reserve – Koviljsko-Petrovaradinski Rit, observation of flora and fauna. Amusement games, Frisbee, dart, swimming in the Danube….

Around 12,30 – 13,30 transfer to the nearby Banstolka rural tourist household which provides tourist services and big homemade lunch. Traditional workshop conducted and monitored by hosts: embroidery or decoupage or culinary workshop /preparation of traditional dish or cake or fruit jam or jelly – apricot, peach, plum……

Around 15,30 transfer to nicely appointed original winery in Sremski Karlovci, introduction into well preserved tradition in grape growing and wine production. Wine workshop – filling bottles with wine, closing of bottles with corks, branding bottles with labeling machine and own signatures of the winery owner and participant which is souvenir. During this workshop tasting of 2 brandy types and 2 wine types with traditional brunch – corn bread, cheese/

Around 18,00 – 19,00 return to Belgrade, end of tour and services
