Serbian Traditional Challenge Tour

Ethno Park Terzica avlija – Terzics Yard Zlakusa village, Mecavnik Wooden Town, Tara National Park, Staro Selo Sirogojno – Old village Sirogojno Open Air Museum, Katici village, Ovcar-Kablar Gorge

Day 1 Departure from Belgrade at 09,00 by luxurious coach and drive along beautiful slopes of Sumadija /Central Serbia/, with short break for refreshment. Arrival to Zlakusa village and visit to the Ethno-Park “Terzica avlija”/Terzic’s Yard/. Traditional welcome and folklore performance followed by presentation of traditional ceramics manufacture. Traditional home-made lunch. Drive on to Mecavnik Wooden Town established by Emir Kusturica, famous film Director. Accommodation in luxurious mountain chalets. Short documentary film of Emir Kusturica. Traditional dinner, overnight.

Day 2 After breakfast 3 hours ancient Sargan train ride along beautiful landscape of Tara National Park. Lunch. Drive to “Staro Selo Sirogojno” Open-air Museum and visit to traditional exibitions and preserved architecture of Zlatibor region from the 19th century. Accommodation in luxurious chalets, dinner, overnight.

Day 3 After breakfast visit to Sirogojno handwork souvenir shop. Traditional championship – Serbian old games and dances. Handwork classes, weaving and competition, inclusive wool-processing of the famous Sirogojno knitwear at the Sirogojno Knitters Museum, conducted by skilled Sirogojno artisans, followed by dressing hand-knitted stuff and possibility to buy Sirogojno sweaters, jackets, topcoats, overcoats, suits, caps and shawls for premium prices. Authentic lunch. Drive along gorgeous scenery to Katici village. Accommodation in luxurious chalets surrounded by thick pine forest. Traditional dinner, overnight.

Day 4 After breakfast drive to Ovcar Kablar Gorge and ferry ride across Zapadna Morava /West Morava River /to Medieval St. Nichola’s Monastery. Sightseeing. Lunch. Afternoon departure to Belgrade. Late evening arrival and end of program.
