Day 1 Belgrade arrival
Arrival to Belgrade Airport, transfer to centrally located Belgrade hotel and check in. Introductory panoramic sightseeing tour of Belgrade. Walking tour of Belgrade with welcome drink at the Rakija Bar. Overnight.
Day 2 Belgrade – Kosjeric – Zlatibor
After breakfast drive along the beautiful gentle slopes of Shumadija – Central Serbia direction Valjevo and Divcibare Mountain. Break for refreshment and tasting of delicious homemade cherry rakija at the rural tourist household in tiny Podbukovi village, in the heart of untouched nature. Continue to Kosjeric and break for visit to the Zaric Destillery – the largest producer of fruit brandies with geographic origin, awarded with numerous prizes for quality of rakija products. Tasting of finest rakijas – brandies of Zaric destillery, followed with traditional lunch. Continue direction Zlatibor Mountain and accommodation in the rural tourist vacation complex of Lazarevi konaci in Kacer village. Cordial welcome with delicious homemade rakija and slatko. Traditional dinner, overnight.
Day 3 Staro Selo Sirogojno – Zlatibor Smoke House
After breakfast full day excursion which includes presentation the finest brands of Serbia – rakija, malina and prsuta /brandy, raspberry and smoked ham/. First we visit the Staro Selo Sirogojno Open air Museum which reconstructs the authentic way of life of Dinaric highlanders from the 19th cenutry. Traditional brunch with interactive culinary course /preparing kacamak with wooden spoons adding kaymak and young cheese – corn meal, hominy/. Continue to the picturesque Musvete village and visit to the most famous smoke house in the region, which produces smoked delicacies. Tasting of delicious smoked products and rakija and wines, with brass orchestra entertainment. Return to the Lazarevi konaci, light dinner, overnight.
Day 4 Arilje – Grabovica village – Belgrade
After breakfast drive direction Arilje – “the Raspberry Metropolis” and visit to the Saint Achilles church, featuring beautiful well preserved frescoes. Continue to the original rural tourist household in Mirosaljci village and cordial welcome by wonderful locals who produces highest quality rakijas, natural raspberry juices and runs workshop for traditional costumes. Big traditional lunch including the renown raspberry cake, followed with dressing up traditional Serbian costumes. Continue direction Belgrade with break in the rural tourist household in Grabovica village, famous for excellent plum and cherry rakijas – sljivovica and visnjevaca. Tasting. Drive on to Belgrade and hotel accommodation. Farewell rakija party. Overnight.
Day 5 Belgrade departure
After breakfast free time until transfer to Belgrade Airport, departure flight and end of program and services.
