Day 1 Morning departure from Belgrade and drive by high-tourist-class van/coach along the highway passing by beautiful Sumadija-Central Serbia scenery. Stopover in traditional village close to Gornji Milanovac for a lunch and relaxed walk. Drive on through marvelous Ovčar-Kablar Gorge, visit to one of eleven Orthodox Monasteries comprising the „Saint Serbian Athos” located at the Zapadna Morava River bank. Afternoon arrival to Ivanjica and accommodation. Short time at leisure and recreation. Festive dinner at the restaurant above the gorgeous Moravica River waterfalls, music program. Overnight.
Day 2 After breakfast drive to Kusici Village on wonderful Javor Mountain. Full-day outdoor program: enjoyable long walks to the mountain peaks through the thick coniferous forests, jumping across the streams, picking up medicinal herbs and forest products, wild horses riding, gliding across the fragrant meadows… Rustic lunch-lamb naked in open fire … Accommodation in hotel in Kusici village. Traditional dinner, overnight.
Day 3 After breakfast drive along the scenery of incomparable beauty through tiny Mocioci and Jasenovo villages to Nova Varos. Observation of the natural griffin vultures habitat from the viewing point above the stunning Uvac Canyon. Traditional “highlanders” brunch served at the „House on the griffin Cliff” /home-made cheese pie, organic honey, …/ Drive on to Radoinja Lake and boat ride through the protected zone of the Uvac Natural Reservation. Rustic lunch served at the bank of the Lake of Radoinja /slowly prepared food…/. Afternoon drive to Kamena Gora village, known for its invigorating features as the “Air-spa” at the altitude of 1.400 meters. Accommodation in rural households. “Highlanders dinner”, overnight.
Day 4 After breakfast intense walk along fragrant meadows with marvelous view to surrounding mountains. Drive via Prijepolje to Sopotnica village and intense walk to breathtaking Sopotnica Waterfalls with brake by the archaic water-mills. Traditional out-door lunch. Late afternoon drive to the tiny village on Golija Mountain, within intact nature and hotel accommodation. Traditional dinner, overnight.
Day 5 After breakfast full-day program on wild Golija Mountain : intense walk to “the heart of untouched nature”, climbing up to the Janko’s Peak /1.833 meters/ and trekking through dense pine forests, wild horses riding, sheep-sheering /possible encounter with wolves !/. Outdoor lunch. Picking up medicinal herbs and nature exploration. Traditional dinner, overnight.
Day 6 After breakfast drive via Novi Pazar along the Ibar River, known as the “Kings Valley” or “Lilacs Valley” direction Kraljevo. Stop-over in Gradac Monastery /13th century/ for visit. Drive on to Rudno village situated on beautiful mountain plateau and traditional lunch. Stop-over in Studenica Monastery /13th century/ and sightseeing of the Medieval complex of Studenica Monastery. Drive on via Kraljevo to Vrnjacka Banja Spa and hotel accommodation. Traditional dinner, overnight.
Day 7 After breakfast full-day program on wonderful Goc Mountain. Long walks, mountaineering, nature exploration, swimming in the lake, traditional Serbian games competition /old knights ceremony, games …/. Out-door lunch. Late afternoon return to Vrnjacka Banja Spa and traditional dinner, overnight.
Day 8 After breakfast drive along beautiful scenery of Central Serbia to Topola and visit of the Royal Mausoleum and St. George’s Church with remarkable mosaics. Traditional lunch. Time at leisure or visit to the “Royal winery” for wine tasting. Late afternoon departure to Belgrade. Evening arrival and end of program.
