Eco-Center “Radulovacki” in Sremski Karlovci is the internationally recognized center for gathering young people and education of youth visitors of all ages whose educational programs cover different areas with emphasis on environmental protection.

During their stay at the Eco Center in Sremski Karlovci visitors have privilege to take part in various outdoor, experiential soft adventurous activities – full or half day educational-adventurous hike in nature with Eco guides, “recycle” creative workshops, “treasure hunt”, “all senses nature experience”, orienteering and survival in nature /activities with bandages, making perfumes from ingredients found in environment, walks along the trees…/, bicycle ride with cycle guides, outdoor lunch or in the mountain hut in Strazilovo excursion point, with active participation in food preparation – barbecue, hiking competition race till the Monument of Branko Radičevic on Strazilovo spot along the arranged hiking trail through the Fruska Gora National Park, horse-back riding and walks along the Fruska Gora Mt, canoe and kayak ride, boat ride, visit to the Eco protected zone of the Kovilj-Petrovaradin marshes with observation of birds, plants and animals, historical workshops at the Chapel of Peace, calligraphy workshop, ceramic workshop, folklore workshop, music workshop, knight games, Roman competition…

The Eco-Center Radulovacki Sremski Karlovci is situated in the old center of the town of Sremski Karlovci, just 15 km away from Novi Sad.

The Eco Center in Sremski Karlovci consists out of two buildings – the old one, dating back to the 18th century, which was fully reconstructed and refurbished in 2008 and the new sustainable building, newly built in 2012.

Founder of the Radulovacki Eco-Center is Voivodina Environmental Movement – an organization highly active and involved in reforestation of Voivodina, environmental education of citizens of all ages by organizing Eco-camps, seminars, forums, Eco-manifestations, campaigns to promote environmental protection and volunteerism. Special attention is focused on educational and experiential Eco workshops for the youngest visitors – children, conducted by highly knowledgeable experts who share their skills and virtues with young generations in thematic workshops which include various experiential and learning activities that improve awareness and love towards the nature.

“Radulovacki” Eco-Center Sremski Karlovci is fully equipped and adapted to accommodate and host different profiles of visitors and groups form Serbia and abroad, during the one-day and multi-day events, conferences, seminars, workshops and camps.

“Radulovacki” Eco Center in Sremski Karlovci provides accommodation in 45 beds in 10 air-conditioned nicely arranged rooms, towels, bedding, hair dryer, 24h hot weather, laundry service, safes for valuables, space for suitcases, floor heating, two multi-purpose halls, free WiFi, audio and video equipment, bike rental, a large yard which is very suitable for successful organization of various events and performances.

In 2008 the Voivodina Environmental Movement reconstructed an old building in the center of Sremski Karlovci when the Eco-Center was born.

Given that there was a need expansion of the capacities, a new wing has been built in the back yard of the existing Eco-Center.

The new structure of the Eco Center in Sremski Karlovci is energy efficient, following sustainable architecture principles. Construction of the new wing was personally financed by a great donor and benefactor of Sremski Karlovci – dr. Miodrag Radulovacki, a professor on Illinois University in Chicago.

The building has been named after him – the Eco-Center ‘Radulovacki’. Besides professor Radulovacki, construction of the Eco structure has been aided by the Environmental protection Fund of the Republic of Serbia, financing installation of the heating and cooling system, which uses renewable thermal energy generated and stored in the Earth. Council of Europe in Strasbourg has accredited the Radulovacki Eco Center.

Restoration of the Branko Radicevic Monument on Strazilovo with 1 km of walking trail in beautiful natural environment and benches and boards that bear the famous poet’s lyrics, enable visitors to enjoy in magnificent panorama of Fruska Gora, Danube and Backa district.
