Kamena Gora village and mountain is about 20 km away from Prijepolje, and rises up to the altitude of 1400 meters. The Nature adored Kamena Gora magnificent landscape and unbelievable vistas to the mountain masiffs of Zlatibor, Durmitor, Zlatar and Golija …
On the fringe of the vast Plateau above the Kamena Gora village, rises the Holy Pine – the majestic pine considered by locals as over 400 years old and sacred. Local highlanders venerate this cult tree and would not dare to damage even a single cone from it. They also believe that standing below the Holy Pine treetop has both spiritual and healing effects and highly contributes to the enlightenment. Walks along the intact environment and fairy tale meadows provides true indulgence, as there are numerous spots for retreat and relax, as this area is famous for about 100 icy cold potable mountain springs ! After breakfast we start our 12 km long walk up to Jabuka village. It is quite an easy walk along the majestic scenery. Jabuka village is located in the middle between Prijepolje and Pljevla /Montenegro/, at the elevation of 1300 meters. Jabuka is rich in cool air, fragrant meadows and lush pine forests. There is not any apple tree. Jabuka village was named after the fact that here used to be a battle ground of Sandalj Hranic knights who were “aiming an apple through a ring”.
