Novi Sad Food and Fun Adventure

Day 1:  Arrival and met by a professional Panacomp guide at the Nikola Tesla Airport, Belgrade. High tourist class transportation to the Varad Inn Boutique Hostel Novi Sad – Petrovaradin. Welcome gathering and presentation. Short hike, outdoor food preparation and cooking adventure at the place where Fruska gora National Park meets the surrounding villages. Here you will explore surreal nature, forests, streams and hilltops along with a variety of plant and animal life. A short hike along paths leads to the perfect spot for an open fire and cooking adventure. Together we prepare a Serbian meal the traditional way. Participants gather their own wood, make a fire, prepare the food and cook it. Whose will taste the best? We have the recipe, but do you have the skills? After an outdoor Lunch return to the Varad Inn Boutique Hostel. Free evening. Overnight.

Day 2: After breakfast all day outdoor adventure activities at the Petrovaradin fortress : scavenger hunt, exploring the fortress, including the museum and the underground passages. Following a brief introduction to the fortress, its history and architecture, we explore it further! Participants receive maps of the fortress with marked locations which are to be photographed. Some of these places include: the museum, military galleries (catacombs), hills and tunnels, the old bridge and the modern touristic side. The adventure scavenger hunt will take you back to a mysterious and scary past and return you to the present with a different perspective of the Fortress and its history. Break for lunch. Activities continue in Novi Sad by exploring the city and seeing it all in an unconventional way. The center, the quay, the parks and streets are all yours to be discovered. You will receive a map and instructions, so the paths you choose are your own. Guaranteed a fun time with lots of pictures along the way! Return to the Varad Inn Boutique Hostel. Dinner in town. Overnight.

Day 3: Breakfast. Visit to Sremski Karlovci, a spiritually and culturally important town to Serbs in Voivodina. Walking tour of the beautiful baroque center of Sremski Karlovci : the Patriarchal Residence, Saint Nicholas Church, Gymnasium, Four Lions Fountain, Branko Radicevic Square. Visit to the Chapel of Piece in Sremski Karlovci where the Karlowitz Peace Treaty was signed, which significantly influenced the history of Europe. Visit to the Kugloff Cake workshop and preparation of a kugloff in traditional way, followed by tasting.  Late afternoon departure to the Nikola Tesla Belgrade airport. Departure flight, end of program and services.
