Metropol Hotel Ohrid
The “Metropol”Hotel was and remained the only and unrepeatable Ohrid hotel, among other hotels of Macedonia and the region, with architecture and amenities that distinguish it from the other conventional hotels. The Metropol Hotel in Ohrid has been opened in 1975, and was fully refurbished and renovated in 2004. According to the law regulation of Macedonia the Metropol Hotel was categorized in the II category with 4 stars, and features comfortable amenities that please both tourists and business people – conference delegates: an outdoor pool and a heated Jacuzzi, a fitness center, tennis courts and an outdoor terrace. The Metropol Hotel in Ohrid is fully air conditioned with five floors above ground floor, underground and basement, set between the beautiful Ohrid Lake shore and the lush and fragrant greenery and forests of the Galichica National Park.
The Accommodation part of the Metropol Hotel Ohrid consists of five floors with the following room structure: 110 double-twin rooms with the option of putting the third additional bed, 4 Standard suites (bedroom and living room), 1 Residential suite (2 bedrooms and living room) and 1 Deluxe suite (bedroom and living room). Rooms of the Metropol Hotel in Ohrid are non-smoking and come with air-conditioning, wooden furniture, wall-to-wall carpeted floors, heating, minibar, work desk, phone, comfortable bathrooms with baths or shower cabins, bathrobes, slippers, toiletries and hair dryer. All suites of the Metropol Hotel in Ohrid are air-conditioned and are luxury equipped. There is separate room for room service on every floor. Ground floor of the Metropol Hotel in Ohrid is located on the right hand side from the entrance to the hotel and features a fully equipped and organized reception desk and the vast lobby. The ground floor of the Metropol Hotel covers an area of 420 sq meters and is well equipped and casual and includes the Aperitif bar – with all types of spirit drinks and beverages, two elevators for guests, Business hall for meetings with area of 144 sq meters, Banquette hall with area of 80 sq meters, Green hall with area of 121 sq meters, Restaurant with area of 800 sq meters. Well equipped kitchen of the Metropol can prepare 600 tasty meals. Widespread open air terrace with breathtaking view of the Ohrid lake covers an area of 800 sq m.
The Underground floor of the Metropol Hotel in Ohrid consists of the varied meeting venues – the Congress hall “Biljana” with capacity of 360 seats and area of 500 sq meters, the “Samuil” hall with capacity of 80 seats and area of 110 sq meters, the “Kaneo” hall with capacity of 40 seats and area of 70 sq meters, the “Ohrid” hall with capacity of 50 seats and area of 84 sq meters and the”Labino” hall with capacity of 280 seats and area of 380 sq meters.
The Fitness hall and 2 saunas equipped with showers and additional amenities and services are in this part of the Metropol Hotel in Ohrid. On the same level with the underground floor, with entrance only from the external side there are the National restaurant with 60 seats and area of 110sq meters and the Kitchen for the National restaurant with area of 20 sq meters.
Two floors beneath the ground floor there is the Club which covers some 120 sq meters, separated into two parts, of which the first part contains an Aperitif bar and the second part is an area of 130 sq meters in size. The Metropol Hotel in Ohrid has its own parking space for its guests for 100 cars.
