Ivanjica and its Fascinating Surrounding

Day 1 Morning departure from Belgrade and drive by high tourist class coach along beautiful Sumadija landscape. Stopover in traditional village close to Gornji Milanovac for traditional lunch. Relaxed walks. Drive on through marvelous Ovčar-Kablar Gorge, visit to one of eleven Orthodox Monasteries comprising the „St.Serbian Athos” located at the bank of Zapadna Morava River. Afternoon arrival to Ivanjica and hotel accommodation. Short time at leisure and recreation in most modern Welness Center, pool, jacuzzi-baths, „Turkish baths”…. Festive dinner at the restaurant above the Moravica River waterfalls, music programme. Overnight.

Day 2 After breakfast drive to picturesque Kusici Village. Full-day outdoor program: enjoyable walks to the mountain peaks through the thick coniferous forests, jumping across the streams, picking up medicinal herbs and forest products, wild horses riding, gliding accross the fragrant meadows... Rustic lunch–lamb naked in open fire … Late afternoon return to Ivanjica. Time at leisure. Dinner, overnight.

Day 3 After breakfast drive along the scenery of incomparable beauty through Mocioci and Jasenovo villages to Nova Varos. Observation of the largest natural griffin vultures habitat in the Balkans from the viewing point above the stunning Uvac River Canyon. Traditional “highlander’s” brunch served at the „House on the griffon Cliff” /home-made cheese pie, organic honey, …/ Drive on to Radoinja Lake and boat ride through the protected zone of the Uvac Nature Reserve. Rustic lunch served at the bank of the Uvac Lake /slowly prepared food…/. Afternoon drive to Mecavnik and accommodation in Drvengrad, the „Wooden Town“, traditional settlement founded by famous Film Director Emir Kusturica. Dinner with music entertainment, overnight.

Day 4 After breakfast sightseeing tour of „Wooden Town”. Archaic train ride by „Sargan Eight” train, the narrow railroad gauge. Afternoon departure to Belgrade with stopover in Zlakusa Village for visit to „Terzica avlija” traditional settlement. Folklore performance and handmade ceramics workshop Traditional branch. Evening arrival to Belgrade and end of program/services.
