Fruska Gora Adventure

Day 1:  Arrival and met by a professional Panacomp guide at Nikola Tesla Airport, Belgrade. High tourist class coach transportation to Varad Inn Boutique Hostel and Cafe Novi Sad – Petrovaradin. Welcome gathering and presentation. Full traditional dinner. Overnight Varad Inn Boutique Hostel.

Day 2: Breakfast. All day outdoor activities – Hike and tour of Vrdnik and surrounding area. The Vrdnik Banja Spa offers a specific combination of nature, history and culture. The tour covers the village and surrounding landscape – we follow narrow trails leading to a lookout point, then continue up and down hill reaching a stream with a spring and waterfall in a secluded and mysterious forest location. After a short break, we hike towards the other side of Vrdnik Spa to the Medieval tower sitting atop a hill with a fantastic view of Srem. The total distance covered is around 9km, and provides a true example of Fruska gora’s  nature. Traditional organic lunch in Ethno village. Stone Village Adventure Challenge (hiking, scavenger hunt, archery, air rifle target shooting, adventure obstacles). Afternoon exploration adventure race in the Vrdnik Spa hidden historical location – the remains of an old coal mine and stone houses, away from sight, secluded from paths and roads. Participants warm up and attempt to successfully complete the adventure race obstacles. Return to the Varad Inn Boutique Hostel. Wine and rakia tasting with dinner, overnight.

Day 3: After breakfast transport to the late 15th century Rakovac monastery which was destroyed, abandoned, and rebuilt numerous times. Hiking tour from the Rakovac monastery to Beli Majdan Quarry, Ascetic Rock Church and Stari Ledinci. Hiking  through an old quarry with amazing terraces and structures – the first stop after about an hour is at the old Ascetic church carved into stone. In the past it was actively used by Rakovac monastery priest during days of fasting days and solitude. The hike ends at Dobro Prase Ranch – Aktivna Fruska with an organic lunch, followed by horse riding, orienteering, exploration of a small cave – a remaining entrance to an old gold mine and a dynamic adventure challenge on Popovica spot.  Transport to Varad Inn Hostel, dinner. Overnight.

Day 4: Breakfast. Transport to Sremski Karlovci and tour of the beautiful baroque center : the Patriarchal Residence, the Gymnasium, Saint Nicholas Orthodox Cathedral, Four Lions Fountain. Farewell traditional lunch. Transport to Nikola Tesla Airport, Belgrade. Departure flight, end of program and services.
