the “Farma Kolibe’ is name of the rural household located at the edge of tiny Vlaško Polje village, at the crossroad between municipalities of Sokobanja Spa, Knjazevac and Boljevac Municipalities, in majestic Eastern Serbia, at the altitude of about 850 meters. Peaceful and tranquil ambiance of intact nature with breathtaking view to Tupiznica Mountain peak both make this place ideal for various active holidays – hiking, climbing, para-gliding, ATV ride, fishing, hunting, skiing… The Tupiznica Mountain is very difficult to hike, but extremely challenging due to its sharp range and peak from which the extreme gliding jumps are organized. The Farma koliba rustic tourist household is located 26km northwest of Knjazevac. One reaches the Vlaško Polje village and the Farma koliba rural complex with the farm along the local road 247 which leads from Knjazevac to Boljevac, through small villages of Kaličina, Valevac, Lepena, Donja Sokolovica and Bučje. From this tourist facility spreads magic panorama on the rocky massif of the Tupiznica Mountain, and from the Mecji vrh peak which is actually located above the Farma koliba tourist facility and farm, guests can observe sunset of the mystical pyramid-shape Rtanj Mountain.
Accommodation is provided in comfortable 3 stars category facility in a four-bed apartment with spacious dining room, bathroom with shower and equipped kitchen and 1 double bedroom with separate entrance. Diligent hosts serve their guests with finest traditional food prepared of own and locally grown ingredients – homemade gibanitza, yoghurt, young cheese /mixture of cow and sheep milk/, roasted meat, fresh vegetables and fruits, various original sweets, wild fruits…. Traditional specialties of East Serbia are prepared and served to guests assuring unforgettable experiences /”belmuz” – traditional delicious pastures meal favorite to inhabitants of East Serbia and Stara Planina Mountain that is the mixture of young non salt sheep cheese and corn bread believed to enable longevity and beauty of men…/.
Amenities of Farma Koliba in Vlasko Polje village are outdoor swimming pool, garden and yard full of greenery, outdoor terrace with veranda which is the favorite relaxing and gathering spot of all guests, as well as open fire-place for grill and roasting lamb or slow cooking in pottery, archaic water-mill, sheep farm with about 40 sheep of which there are indigenous and almost extinct sheep type of karakacan ovca /Karakachan sheep/ and krivovirska ovca /Krivi vir sheep/, horses, a dozen of rare type of busha cows, a donkey and various kinds of decorative chicken that make advantages of this wonderful entirely natural and traditional rustic place. In winter guests enjoy skiing close to the farm using lift made of old rustic sledges.
