Viminacium, Majdanpek, Rajko Pecina Cave, Valja Prerast, Lepenski Vir Archaeological Site, Silver Lake

Day 1 – Friday Morning departure from Belgrade and drive to enchanting Viminacium archaeological site, former Roman military camp. Sightseeing of Viminacium excavations followed by the “Roman lunch”. Drive to Majdanpek and traditional welcome. Hotel accommodation. Exposition and shopping exhibition of gold jewelry and handcrafts. Traditional dinner with music program. Overnight.

Day 2 – Saturday After breakfast drive to Rajkova Pecina Cave famous for its rich cave-jewelry. Tour of the Cave. Traditional out-door lunch /honey, nuts, roasted lamb, boiled home-made rakija – liquors…/ Leisure and entertainment programs in the heart of nature : gold mining, competition in traditional Serbian games, exploration and observation of relict birds and insects, and rare flora... Afternoon tour of Valja Prerast, natural landmark of river valley and the stone bridge. Milling corn flour in water-mill, return to hotel and short refreshment. Traditional culinary workshop: preparation corn pulp and cheese-cake… followed by big dinner with music program. Overnight.

Day 3 -Sunday After breakfast, drive to Lepenski Vir prehistoric archaeological site and sightseeing. Drive through the Danube Gorge with short brake for photo-shooting and visit to Golubac Fortress. Fish lunch on Silver Lake and short walk along the beautiful lake shore. Evening arrival to Belgrade and end of program.
