PANACOMP Danube mystical Journey is designed to take you away where the untouched stunning nature of the “Djerdap” National Park will renew your mind, exploration of the hugest Natural and Archaeological Museum in Europe – as the cradle of civilizations will refresh your spirit and the gentle Danube breezes will blow your cares away. It is carefully planned to let you see the very best of Danube “Iron Gate” gorge magnificent beauty with it’s spectacular Lepenski Vir, Padina and Vlasac Mesolithic archaeological highlights dating back over 10000 years !! Besides three gorges, two remarkable canyons featuring breathtaking views and three large valleys there are over 1000 caverns and caves spread across 150 km of the area. All along the Danube Flow in Serbia there are magnificent Roman sights and mighty fortifications and it’s hard to pick a favorite. So, for a while be as brave and handsome as Emperor Traian or many other Roman heroes from this region ! Take the truly lasting memories of the exciting “gold mining” in Pek River or the “mysterious magical ritual” connecting the spirits of the living and the dead that is simply beyond the expectations ….

Day 1

Arrival to Belgrade and drive along the Danube to Veliko Gradiste with stop-overs in Vinca Archaeological sight presenting 4000 years B.C Vinca Culture and remarkable Viminacium, the significant Roman Settlement and Military Camp of Upper Mesia from the 2nd century A.D. Family hotel accommodation at Silver Lake. Dinner /exquisite fish specialties/ with music entertainment. Boat ride along the Silver Lake. Overnight.

Day 2

After breakfast drive to Golubac Fortress from the 14th century. Tour of the fortification, photographing… Drive on to Lepenski Vir Archaeological sight and visit to one of the oldest human settlement comprising unique findings of monumental values. Climb-up to exciting viewing point of Ploce within the protected zone of the Djerdap National Park, rich in preserved eco-systems and age-old plant and animal life of remarkable beauty and rarity. Traditional unbeatable meal served in the heart of true nature eaten from the wooden dishes and by wooden cutlery. Afternoon Serbian traditional tournament and time for relaxing walks, photo-safari and leisure. Visit to Diana Fortress in Karatas, the former Roman Fortification built by Emperor Traian after his invasion to Dakia in the 2nd century A.D. Accommodation in mountain chalet situated on the peak of stone cliff or traditional rural households or high quality apartments in Donji Milanovac – 3 stars category. Dinner with music entertainment and torches. Overnight.

Day 3

After breakfast drive to Majdanpek and exploration of astonishing Rajko’s Pecina Cave. Magnificent “gold mining” in Pek River and mysterious magical ritual followed by folklore performance. Traditional branch served near the Rajkos Pecina Cave entrance. Return to Belgrade, and end of program/services.
