Day 1 Novi Sad arrival

Welcome at Belgrade Airport, transfer to Novi Sad centrally located hotel, accommodation. Traditional welcome dinner, overnight.

Day 2 Novi Sad – Fruska Gora Mountain/National Park

After breakfast Novi Sad city tour – the City Hall, Vojvodina Parliament, Zmaj Jovina pedestrian zone…. Continue to the Fruska Gora Mt/National Park and tour of the Novo Hopovo Monastery, famous for its beautiful frescoes and further to the Grgeteg Monastery, where the copy of the Holy Virgin from the Mount Athos is kept. Big rustic lunch at the Perkov Salash Farm in Neradin village. Continue to Sremski Karlovci, spiritual and educational center of Serbs and tour of the beautiful baroque center – The Patriarchal Residence, Gymnasium, 4 Lions Fountain…. Wine tasting of famous Fruska Gora wines in authentic wine cellar. Return to Novi Sad, traditional dinner in the restaurant at the foot of the Petrovaradin Fortress/Danube river shore. Overnight.

Day 3 Novi Sad – Sabac – Mecavnik Mokra Gora

After breakfast departure to Mokra Gora /Mecavnik Wooden Town. Break at the rustic Villa Albedo near Sabac for traditional brunch and homemade refreshment. Historical lecture – introduction into the heroic Battles and events of the Cer and Kolubara Battles at the Tekeris Memorial of the First WW. Continue along the beautiful landscape of Sumadija and west Serbia via Kosjeric, Pozega and Uzice. Accommodation at the Mecavnik Wooden Town Hotel, dinner, overnight. /wellness available/.

Day 4 Mecavnik – Visegrad – Drina Canyon – Mecavnik

After breakfast bus drive to Visegrad /Bosnia and Herzegovina/ and tour of the Old Visegrad Bridge, UNESCO site. Visit to the Andric grad = Kamengrad and sightseeing, followed with lunch. Return by bus from Visegrad to Perucac lake and boat ride along the gorgeous Drina river canyon /the most beautiful part of the Drina river course/ with refreshment. Traditional dinner, overnight at the Mecavnik Wooden Town Hotel.

Day 5 Mecavnik – Tara National Park – Zlatibor – Staro Selo Sirogojno

After breakfast full day excursion including visits to : the most beautiful parts of the Tara National Park /introductory film on the NP/, Zlatibor Mt – the most famous mountainous tourist center of Serbia /short walk along the lake and the traditional market/, Staro Selo Sirogojno Open Air Museum, presenting the life of Dinaric population of the 19th century, followed with the big traditional lunch, and presentation show of the famous Sirogojno Style handwork and the Sirogojno Company dried fruits of extraordinary quality = raspberries, blackberries and cranberries tasting. Accommodation at Zlatibor hotel. Traditional dinner with brass orchestra performance /winners of the Guca Brass festival/. Overnight.

Day 6 Sargan Train – Kosjeric rural household – Belgrade

After breakfast Sargan train ride along the Mokra Gora Nature Park /ca 2 hours of ride through beautiful scenery/. Drive to Belgrade with stop over at the Milogosce rural complex near Kosjeric for big outdoor lunch by the pool – homemade food…. Upon arrival to Belgrade hotel accommodation. Free evening, overnight.

Day 7 Belgrade

After breakfast half-day Belgrade city tour – Kalemegdan Fortress, Republic Square, National Theater, Parliament... Visit to the Museum of the Serbian Orthodox Church. Free time for individual program. 16,00 The White Palace compounds tour /former Royal residence of the Karadjordjevic Dynasty/. 20,00 Farewell dinner at the Skadarlija Restaurant with live music and folklore performance. Overnight.

Day 8 Belgrade departure

After breakfast tour of the Saint Sava Orthodox Cathedral, second largest Orthodox Church in the world. Transfer to Belgrade Airport, end of program and services.
