Rooms for rent are located on the picturesque “Captain Misha’s Hill” /Kapetan Misin Breg/, within the rustic estate of the Stefanovic Family at the altitude of 400 meters, 6 km away from Donji Milanovac, on the way to Majdanpek over beautiful Oman Mountain, one of the most scenic sections of the Danube Gorge. There are 6 beds available in the guest-house in 3 simple, traditionally arranged double rooms with shared usage of a spacious bathroom. Recently built traditional wooden chalet, with accommodation of 4 beds in 2 apartments with facilities is special challenge for visitors seeking for vacations in authentic natural atmosphere. During their relaxing vacations on the Danube, thanks to magnificent view to entire Donji Milanovac Valley and clear breezes coming from nearby mountain peaks, visitors enjoy delicious organic specialties of this region of East Serbia, prepared from home-made produces by skillful house-wife in traditional way. The green garden full of flowers and trees ends with the stable with domestic animals /goats, cows, chicken, sheep/. On the menu here at the Captain Misha Hill, visitors are offered chicken soup, nettle fritters, proja /corn bread/, cheese, grilled chicken and veal, lettuce and cabbage in oil and vinegar, mushrooms, marinated red potato, “vanilice” for dessert, homemade wine and delicious medovaca /honey brandy/….
On the spot dominating over the beautiful Valley of Donji Milanovac, there is an open-air Gallery “Man, wood and water” where visitors enrich themselves in natural and artistic ambiance while observing the unique wood-carved exhibition of the host. Guests are also invited to take part in own wood-carving workshops, conducted by friendly host Zika. There are over 100 wooden sculptures exhibited in open-air collection that are the true challenge of talented Host Zivojin representing his universal and supernatural energy.
