Begovo traditional village is authentic Bosnian village located and tucked away in the deep forest of Niksic plateau, in a region rich in natural and cultural diversity, 40 km away from Sarajevo.
The idea of building Begovo traditional village arose from a desire to focus on presenting the cultural heritage of Bosnia in its original setting. The owner of the village implemented idea to the reality in the best and most beautiful way, because the Begovo traditional village is the first Bosnian village in the world with the magic authentic rural atmosphere, fresh air and beautiful scenery impresses every visitor. Begovo traditional village is built from authentic natural and original material, some of which are old and a few hundred years. It was built and the bazaar with lots of small houses and a mosque.
Begovo traditional village offers unlimited opportunities for relaxation, enjoy the tasty traditional Bosnian cuisine, a visit to the nearby Bijambarska cave, accommodation in an authentic rural house – vajati..Ethno village has a fairy-tale double and quadruple rooms and apartments. The restaurant serves only the Bosnian original food for decades prepared in an authentic way. Hosts also serve the Bosnian drinks of domestic production and products from the surrounding villages.
Begovo traditional village offers a wide range of different activities which will greatly animate each guest, especially children who come with their parents; picking herbs and mushrooms, hiking tours, games for children (polygon), mowing grass, farm visits and participation in their work, rafting, fishing, sledding, knitting, riding a bike, taking part in preparing food for winter.
The biodiversity of this region is very rich and colorful. Crnogoricna forest hold many animal species, especially songbirds, several species of birds of prey, wild animals such as wolves, bears, foxes, rabbits, deer … From plant communities are represented herbs such as kunica, thyme, mint, chamomile and what which gives recognition of this area is a large number of edible mushrooms.
