Day 1. Belgrade arrival
Arrival to Belgrade and introductory panoramic sightseeing during arrival transfer, welcome drink and accommodation in centrally located 4+/4 stars Belgrade hotel. Short time at leisure. Traditional welcome dinner in Skadarlija bohemian quarter. Overnight.
Day 2. Belgrade
After breakfast HD Belgrade city tour – Kalemegdan Fortress, remarkable view to the confluence of Sava and Danube rivers, Museum of history of Yugoslavia with Tito’s tomb, Saint Sava Orthodox Cathedral, National Theater, Republic Square,… Free time for lunch in down town Belgrade, leisure time. Dinner in hotel, overnight.
Day 3. Belgrade – Oplenac Royal Mausoleum – Studenica Monastery
After breakfast coach drive to Topola and Oplenac, visit of Saint George Church, Royal Family Mausoleum. Brunch with wine tasting in the Royal Winery of Oplenac. Drive to Studenica Monastery and Studenica Monastery Complex tour /Church of the Virgin Mary, the King’s Church, Saint Nicholas Church, the Treasury/. Accommodation in the Monastery dormitory /3 stars hotel quality of accommodation, special regime of behavior/, traditional or monastic dinner in Studenica dining room with glass of monastic red wine produced in the intact surrounding of the magnificent holy place full of tranquility and peace. Overnight.
Day 4. Studenica Monastery – SS Apostles Peter and Paul Church – Sopocani Monastery – Kolasin /Montenegro/
After breakfast drive through the mountainous landscape, along the King’s/ Lilac Valley of the Ibar River, the medieval road built during the rule of Nemanya Dynasty, passing Raska where the Serbian Medieval state was maintained between the 11th and 14th century. Tour of the SS Peters Church in Novi Pazar /one of the oldest shrines in the Balkans/ and the ecclesiastical complex of Sopocani Monastery, built in 13th century, whose frescoes are considered to be the masterpiece of European fresco painting of the time. Drive by the magic mountains of northern Montenegro scenery via Rozaje and organic brunch while admiring the natural beauties and fresh air. Accommodation in Kolasin 5 stars hotel, in the heart of magic scenery, traditional dinner /wellness available/.
Day 5. Kolasin – Moraca Monastery – Cetinje – Kotor area
After breakfast visit to the Moraca Monastery /13th century/ located on Moraca River. Drive to Cetinje and tour of Cetinje Monastery, the King’s Nikola Castle, Museum. Traditional Njegusi brunch – delicious smoked ham and cheese. Drive by narrow serpentine road to wonderful Montenegrin Riviera while enjoying the magnificent view from Montenegro mountain peaks approaching the beautiful coast, photo stop at Sveti Stefan. 4 stars hotel accommodation in Kotor area, fish dinner in Kotor old town. Overnight.
Day 6. Kotor – Perast – Dubrovnik /Croatia/
After breakfast Kotor sightseeing tour – Cathedral of St. Tryphon, the Maritime Museum, the main square. Boat ride to the Gospa od Skrpjela Island and Basilica of Our Lady on the Rocks, while enjoying in picturesque and magnificent view of the Boka Kotor Bay. Drive to Dubrovnik and 4 stars hotel accommodation. Dinner in Dubrovnik restaurant within city walls. Overnight.
Day 7. Dubrovnik – Pocitelj – Mostar /Bosnia and Herzegovina/
After breakfast Dubrovnik tour – the Sponza Palace, Orlando Fountain-Monument, Stradun. Short leisure time for shopping and individual program. Drive to Mostar, passing along the beautiful Adriatic coast and Neretva River delta. Short stop-over in Pocitelj and visit to the mosque and Oriental architecture of the old quarter, followed with tasting of figs and other organic products of “Okusi Herzegovinu” producer. Accommodation in Mostar 4 stars hotel. Traditional dinner /famous Bosnian kebab/ in restaurant on the Neretva River bank. Overnight.
Day 8 Mostar – Konjic – Sarajevo
After breakfast Mostar tour – the newly rebuilt bridge over Neretva River, the old town towers, authentic Bosnian house, traditional handwork and filigree exhibition in the famous kujindziluk /old crafts/ quarter. Drive to Blagaj and tour of the famous tekke on the source of the magic Buna River. Continue to Konjic along the gorgeous scenery of Bosnian Mountains. Tour of the famous /once secret/ Tito’s bunker built deep in the mountainous underground /this is true highlight !!! not known by many operators/. Presentation of the renowned and well-preserved wood carving traditions of Konjic in authentic old crafts workshop that provides unique experiences. Accommodation in 4 stars hotel, traditional dinner /roasted lamb of Jablanica area/, overnight.
Day 9 Sarajevo
After breakfast drive to Sarajevo and HD sightseeing tour: the old down town of Bascarsija with preserved crafts and oriental architecture and the Gazi Husref Mosque and sadrvan /fountain/, City Hall. Accommodation in 4 stars centrally located Sarajevo hotel. Traditional dinner in Bascarsija, the old part of the town – traditional Bosnian meals accompanied with sevdalinka music. Overnight.
Day 10 Sarajevo – Visegrad – Zlatibor /Serbia/
After breakfast drive to Visegrad and photo stop at the famous Visegrad Old Bridge on Drina River UNESCO site. Crossing into Serbia and at 13,15 train ride by “Sargan Eight“, the narrowest rail-gouge in Europe /duration approximately 2,5 hours through magnificent nature of Tara National Park, thick forests and 16 km of curves and tunnels connecting altitude to the Mokra Gora Mountain peak/. Visit to the traditional settlement /Film Academy of Wooden Town, founded by famous Emir Kusturica on Mecavnik Hill. Refreshment – homemade juice and snack. Drive to Zlatibor Mountain and hotel accommodation /4 stars/. Traditional dinner, overnight /wellness available/.
Day 11 Zlatibor – Novi Sad
After breakfast drive along the Drina River canyon, passing the scenic landscape. Break for lunch in magnificent traditional settlement of “Suncana reka complex” in Gornja Koviljaca Spa. Drive via Fruska Gora Mountain/NP to Novi Sad. Visit to Petrovaradin Fortress known as “the Gibraltar on the Danube” and Novi Sad downtown city tour. Accommodation in 4 stars centrally located hotel, dinner, overnight.
Day 12 Novi Sad – Sremski Karlovci – Belgrade
After breakfast drive to Sremski Karlovci, the cultural, educational and spiritual center of Serbs. Short walking tour of the beautiful baroque center : Patriarchal Residence, Saint Nicholas Church, Four Lions fountain, Gymnasium…. Visit to the Chapel of Peace where the famous Karlowitz peace treaty was signed. Historical lecture workshop on this important historical event conducted in 1699 after the Great Vienna War by representatives of Russia, Austria, Poland, Venice and Turkey. Presentation of “signing the peace” by clients. Visit to the nearby Wine Museum in Sremski Karlovci, keeping authentic tools for wine growing, wine tasting with traditional brunch in authentic wine cellar.
