Day 1 Belgrade arrival – Vrdnik Banja Spa – Novi Sad
Morning arrival to Belgrade, welcome by professional tourist guide. Transfer to Vrdnik Banja Spa on the gentle slopes of the Fruska Gora NP/Mountain. Welcome homemade lunch including natural juice/honey in rural tourist household in the beautiful spa resort in Fruska Gora NP/Mountain. Continue to Novi Sad and walking sightseeing tour of the historical core of the town: the City Hall, the Cathedral, shopping-pedestrian streets of Zmaj Jovina and Dunavska.… 4 stars central hotel accommodation, dinner, overnight.
Day 2 Novi Sad – Mecavnik Drvengrad – Sargan train – Zlatibor
After breakfast drive to Mecavnik Drvengrad Woodentown in SW Serbia and visit the renowned Film Academy and tourist resort established by the famous film director Emir Kusturica, when he shooted his film ‘Life is miracle’. Traditional lunch. Sargan train ride along the wonderful scenery of southwest Serbia, across numerous tunnels and bridges. Accommodation in 4 stars SPA hotel in Zlatibor – the most famous mountainous tourist center of Serbia. Dinner, overnight. Optional evening walk along the beautiful Zlatibor lake.
Day 3 Zlatibor – Uvac Reserve – Mileseva Monastery – Durmitor Zabljak
After breakfast drive direction Montenegro, with break for boat ride along the Uvac special Nature Reserve – the largest natural habitat of griffin vultures in the Balkans. Traditional lunch in authentic restaurant. Continue to Mileseva Monastery and touring of this interesting Medieval Monastery of Serbia which houses the well-known fresco of the White Angel. Drive on to Zabljak and hotel accommodation. Optional walk along the beautiful Crno jezero /Black Lake/ in the gorgeous Durmitor National Park. Dinner, overnight.
Day 4 Djurdjevica Tara Bridge – Podgorica – Cetinje – Kotor
After breakfast walk across the famous Djurdjevica Tara Bridge, while enjoying breathtaking panorama of the emerald-green Tara River /optional zip line/. Continue via Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, and tour of the wonderful Temple of the Christ Resurrection. Continue to Cetinje and sightseeing of the historical core – the Cetinje Monastery, King Nicola’s Princedom, the Historical Museum. Visit to the authentic Smoke House and tasting of delicious smoked ham and cheese. Drive on to the Kotor area and hotel accommodation. Fish dinner. Overnight.
Day 5 Kotor – Perast – Trebinje
After breakfast Kotor city tour : the Saint Typhon Cathedral, Kotor Gates, squares, palaces, Medieval walls… Boat ride to the Gospa od Skrpjela Island with tour of the Holy Virgin on the Rocks Cathedral, while enjoying the magnificent panorama of the Boka-Kotor Bay, one of the most impressive of the Adriatic. Drive on to Trebinje, the picturesque Mediterranean town of South Herzegovina. Traditional lunch /roasted lamb or grilled trout/. Sightseeing tour of the historical core of this beautiful town on the Trebisnjica River. Optional visit to Tvrdos Monastery or one of the most famous local wineries and tasting of the best Herzegovina wines with traditional brunch. Hotel accommodation in Trebinje, dinner, overnight.
Day 6 Trebinje – Radimlja Stolac necropolis – Blagaj Tekke – Mostar – Sarajevo
After breakfast drive along the rocky Herzegovina landscape to Mostar with break for visit to the Radimlja stone tombs necropolis in Stolac, that by its quantity and wonderful stone carving represents rich Medieval cultural heritage. Walking tour of the mystical Tekke in Blagaj, set in the wonderful environment of the source of the Buna River. Continue to Mostar and walking tour of this wonderful historical town : the Old Mostar Bridge, the Kriva cuprija /Crooked Bridge/, the Mostar towers, the Ceyvan Cehan Mosque, the Oriental House, the Mostar crafts quarter ‘kujundziluk’.… Traditional lunch /Bosnian pot/ in the restaurant overlooking the emerald-green Neretva River. Continue to Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Hotel accommodation. Traditional dinner in authentic restaurant with wonderful sevdalinka music. Overnight.
Day 7 Sarajevo – Suncana Reka Tourist Resort
After breakfast sightseeing tour of the historical core of Sarajevo : the Bascarsija Oriental quarter, the Gazi Husrev Bey Mosque, the City Hall, the Old Orthodox Church, the Synagogue, the Cathedral of the Jesus Heart, the Sarajevo historical quarter of Bistrik known for the historical personality of Valter, from the WWII... Visit to the Vrelo Bosne – the natural ambiance of the source of the Bosnia River. Traditional lunch /Bosnian kebab/. Drive on direction Serbia to the Suncana Reka Tourist Resort, on the shores of the Drina River. Accommodation in nicely appointed wooden cottages. Day 8 Suncana Reka – Tekeris Monument Cer Mountain – Belgrade
After breakfast drive to Belgrade. Break for visit to the Tekeris Monument on Cer Mountain, known for heroic battles of the Serbian Army against the Austrian-Hungarian forces at the beginning of the WWI. Traditional lunch in the rural household providing tourist services. 4 stars central hotel accommodation in Belgrade. Dinner, overnight.
Day 9 Belgrade
After breakfast half-day Belgrade city tour : the Parliament, the Saint Sava Orthodox Cathedral – second largest Orthodox church in the world, Kalemegdan fortress and the Victory Monument from where spreads magic panorama of the Belgrade rivers, Knez Mihajla pedestrian-shopping street….
